Shail began in 2014 with a single drawing pinned above the founder's desk — a thin gold ring, no stone, no fuss. The idea has not moved since.
We are an atelier-first house, which means we design at the bench, not at a screen. Every collection begins as a wax model in the hands of a karigar who has been doing this for longer than we have been alive.

Our pieces are designed to mark something. A first job. A return home. A quiet anniversary you only celebrate with yourself. We carve our hallmarks deep on purpose — so that decades from now, when a piece is passed on, the story of the wearer is not lost.
We collaborate with twelve master karigars, all named on every commission card. We list the gem origin. We list the carat purity. We list the hours. There are no anonymous makers in this house.

Everything we make eventually finds its way back to the people who collect it. We host quiet evenings at the atelier, intimate trunk shows in living rooms, and travelling viewings from London to Singapore — moments to meet the wearers, the karigars, and the pieces, in person.

We send every piece in a hand-stitched cotton pouch, set inside a refillable wood box engraved with the wearer's initials. The card inside is written by the karigar who made it — same hand that polished the metal, same hand that wraps the ribbon.
